WFPIST’s director confers with Thai king

KUALA LUMPUR (IRNA) -- Director of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST) Mohammadali Taskhiri conferred on Thursday with Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej on issues pertaining to world Muslims.
At the meeting, the Thai king called Iranians a friendly nation and lauded their historical role in Thai society. ""Muslims in Thailand are highly respected,"" said the Thai king. The Iranian envoy, on his part, praised the Thai government for having friendly ties with Muslims. Iran's Ambassador to Thailand Mohsen Pak Ayeen and some members of WFPIST were also present in the meeting. The Iranian delegation took part in one-day WFPIST meeting in Thailand
